Puerto Pollenca - Bike shops

Post  Pete R on Thu Jul 01, 2010 1:03 pm

We are off the Majorca next week (kids not rather than bikes) - just wondering whether there are any decent bike shops in Puerto Pollenca that I could accidentally stumble across?

I don't know about Pollenca, but if you happened to pop into the neighbouring Puerto Alcudia there is a bike shop opposite KFC that we normally wander into!

There is also a fantastic bike shop in Binasalem - it's on a main road so if you happened to be driving out across the other side of the island make sure you go through Binasalem to get there!

the one in Alcudia is called 'Becqui-sport'. ride around the bay to Alcudia and keep going (not to the port Alcudia though..) tis on a RAB opposite a KFC as sarah said. you can't miss the one in binnisalem, 'tis on the main road. not far from Inca so if on a family hol you can easily pass by on the way to somewhere else Wink

Hi, I lived in Puerto Pollensa for 7 years.
Procyclehire/Bicicletas Puerto Pollenca was established about 4 years ago by Bruce and Lisa. see web site www.procyclehire.com.
Sean Kelly and his friends have often hired full carbon bikes and joined in to cycle with the local expat led club rides that start every day at 9am from Tolo's restaurante (everyone welcome) which is on the seafront heading into the port from Alcudia. Bruce's shop is first turning left from Tolo's. The GB team spend some evenings at Tolo's and its where all the local cycling scene happens with visitors and expats meeting up. Tolo a local Mallorcan helps to sponser cycle races, including the early Tour of Mallorca and the Masters end of season. Tolo also organises a 22 mile TT at the last Saturday in April for the visitors and locals to compete in.
