Hi

I'll try and answer this as everyone else is busy racing or recovering today. As far as I'm aware there isn't a joining form as such unless you want to race and need a racing licence. Andy is our membership dude, his contact details can be found on the membership tag on the web site home page.

We are meeting at the Coach House on the A32 going into Gosport tomorrow evening from 8.30 you are more than welcome to join us, nothing formal just a get together. In addition to that we have a club run on Sat leaving Cosham library at 9.30, (not every week as some of the regulars have time trials on Sun).

Hope to see you soon. If you can't make tomorrow I'll make sure Andy / someone gets back to you so keep a watch on this topic.

Hi ekul619.
As Angie has already written, you need to contact our membership secretary, Andy West. You can contact him by following the route from the "Home page" through "About us" then click on "Joining" on the side bar. Once he has your name you can join British Cycling via their website and quote "Team-Axiom" as your club. We don`t charge young people to be club members until they become "Seniors" on their 19th birthday. Very Happy and you can ride club time trials for about £1.50ish, however to join British Cycling it will cost either £13.50 or £34.00 depending on whether you want a silver or gold membership. Silver has a third party insurance cover, gold has a fully comprehensive cover. You can also apply for a racing licence at the same time which is free if you were born in 1995 or after. Once you have your licence you can ride "Mass start" circuit races at places like Mountbatten Centre or Thruxton motor circuit and many other closed to traffic circuits. Hope this helps and I look forward to meeting you soon.
Regards, Des. bounce

Most of the clubruns leave from Cosham Library on Saturday mornings and will go out in any direction, usually chosen by the riders who turn up on the day. Quite often the route will be out in the Meon Valley areas and sometimes well out into the Chichester/ Petersfield area. Don`t worry about speed or distance as somebody will always stay with you and you will never be left lost and struggling. On your first ride leave a message on here to say you are riding and it can be arranged for someone to ride back with you if the planned ride is too much too soon. Over a few rides you will soon find your feet and be able to judge things for yourself how hard you wish to push yourself. On T/A clubruns you will find a good mix of abilities and skill levels. There is sometimes a cafe stop so you will want some "cake money" Razz and also take a couple of spare inner tubes just in case.
As we are now into race season there won`t be a clubrun every week because most members will be time trialing or road racing over the weekend, but keep looking on here to find out what`s happening.

Hi Spidey (looking at your avatar),
Sorry I didn't get back to you but I've been snowed under with the road race we promoted last week but there's not much more to add that the others haven't already covered really.
If you e-mail me (team.axiom@ntlworld.com) your name, DOB, address, phone no & e-mail address I'll get those added to the membership list but other than that it's best to keep an eye on the forum for forthcoming rides; as has also been previously mentioned though club runs are not so regular when people have a racing schedule.

All the best,
Andy
