Thanks to all who helped with the race

Just to say thank you to everyone who came out and helped at the Tour of the Milburys; it all went off well and if the only problem is people moaning that they want the hall as well then that's a good day! It could have been a lot worse with a construction lorry on the TT route and the threat of the bin lorry going up there as well but these didn't materialise and the sun came out to play as well which really helps.
Some riders passed on their thanks and the motorcycle escorts were impressed with the standard of marshaling so good job all round there. I know it's something of our forte but Henry in race service was also highly impressed with the standard of cake

here; there are some good shots but if you don't want to look through them all you might want to look at pages 11 and 27 to spot some TA faces!

I had a shocker of a mechanical on the RR, the rear gear cable snapped giving your mechanics no chance of getting me back in the race. Even so, I still enjoyed the race, it was a superb combination with the TT and RR. The running and organisation of the day was extremely slick and professional. You had a wonderful team too, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.
I look forward to next year’s Tour, hopefully I won’t suffer the same mishap then! If you’re organising any other road races again in the meantime, please do let me know. It was the first time I’d raced in Meonstoke, the terrain is superb there!"
