Hi all.
I received this message from Rich Pearman and I`m passing on for you to decide whether there is any T/A interest. Obviously there are no dates proposed at the mo and we have our own comittments but here it is:

Richard Pearman

Hi Des

Hope you are well.

For a couple of years I have been thinking about organising a 3 day stage race in our area. Thing is this means a lot of organising on my part but would require help from all other areas if possible.

My plan is to involve at least four clubs, I-Team, Southdown Velo, Fareham Wheelers, and VC St Rapheal with a plan of each club supplying people to help out and supply car drivers etc. If the clubs did help then I would guarantee at least 3-5 spaces to those clubs who have riders wanting to enter and take part.

I'm in discussion with my employer also, Wiggle, who seem to be very supportive of this also and may provide financial support, which will be a god send with this.

My plan is to have a prologue TT somewhere on Friday evening, a crit or road race on Saturday, then perhaps a hill climb and/or road race on the Sunday.

This is just an idea, but I will be contacting the relevant clubs shortly, but just wanted to pass it by you all for your comments. The stage race would only be open to 2nd and 3rd cat riders with prizes being extensive and not just covering the top three/five/ten.

The courses would be local to all four clubs making it easy for the helpers to arrive etc.

Anyhow, feel free to comment on what you think makes a good stage race.

I got the message from Rich as well and spoke to him briefly on the Wiggle French Revolution and he's thinking of July.
I did try to bring it up on Monday but there were too many other conversations going on though Tim pointed out that a crit would be a major undertaking in comparison to the other events and looking at the potential area might conflict with the proposed Chichester crit.
Has anyone else got any opinions and ideas as to whether TA wants to get involved with it and I can pass them back to Richard.
