Tour of the Milburys 11 May - just about there but could do with more

Post  Andy W on Wed May 01, 2013 3:19 pm

I've updated the list below with some updates but we really need a couple more as we don't have anyone dedicated to the finish line to record times; it's bad enough working out results as it is - someone here really helps. And, if we get enough helpers, Chris can ride which looks good for the team.
Cheers.

Oh, and can I have the following for the following (if that makes sense) - for BC race car insurance:
Car make and model, registration no, owner's full name, DOB and BC no
Luke, Tel and Angie

I think you can PM me if you don't want to post in public!

Merci :-)

Oh #2
What flags do we have (and who has them)? I know Mick Metcalf normally brings some along but he's not the commissaire this year and I can't recall if he usually brings along all the red marshals' flags. I certainly think he had all the others (neutralized, finish, abandon race, etc).

Morning

Good work Andy.

I have 1 red flag and the small numbers, Chris has all the signs and large numbers, Mick Metcalfe has all of the other flags.

Could we use the marshalls on the Milbury's pub as finish timekeepers? I think this was mentioned in previous years, but the marshalls required informing when the riders passed through for the final time.

Chris,
We have used the marshalls at the Milburys every year; unfortunately one year they lost count and missed the finish but, even given that, it would be preferable to have someone there all the time, not least to assist with the primes every lap.
The list above is predicated on that basis anyway as there aren't enough people to have someone dedicated at the finish.
Tony, would you be able to bring the flag / numbers along to the TT on Monday (or I can pick them up), just in case you (or rather Sarah) is incapacitated at the time!

Another helper

Post  harry.s on Sat May 04, 2013 12:39 pm

Andy,
My mate may be able to help out! He is also a keen cyclist so we could manage an easy job if needed!
( Also what times is the event?)

Thanks Harry, another helper would be welcome so we can have someone dedicated to assisting with judging.

The afternoon race starts at 1pm but you need to be there at midday for sorting out who goes where, briefing, etc.

Andy,

I see you have me down for marshalling in the morning but not the afternoon. I can do both if you need me.

Also, is the race HQ the same as it has always been- Meonstoke village hall- and what time would you like me to get there???

Thanks all, Leonard & Helly - I just copied the list from the one that Tony originally put up so your all day availability has been noted. Thanks too Alex and Cathy, this makes it all a lot easier.

I'm just going to start another post with times and venue.
