Calshot training

Post  Tony on Fri May 14, 2010 5:14 am

Hi all
I have received the following from HRC if your interrested then give them a call.

Dear local cycle clubs,

The Hampshire Road Club have organised a Calshot track riding day on Saturday 22nd May. We have some places available for both riders and supporters and thought we would like to offer them to our local cycling friends and clubs in the area. We are making a day of it and taking partners and friends too, and once they are bored of us cyclists they can go and explore the other things down at the Calshot activity site.

We have booked a coach too to take us there, and it is picking up in three places Warblington at 8.30am, then Hilsea Lido and Portchester.

So; the track is booked from 11am to 2pm and we will be taking Harry Jackson from PNE, the Olympic cyclist and coach who will be running the event for the day.

Cost per Rider £10
Cost of return coach trip £6
Hire of track bike for the 3hour session £9
We will leave Calshot at 2.15pm for the return journey.

You may take your own track/fixed wheel bike without brakes, but do let us know in advance for packing into the luggage space of the coach. Pedals will have to be removed for packing and maybe wheels also.

If you are interesting in a guaranteed cycling day on the indoor track please contact myself Chris McGuire by email or on 01243 377184 or 07800914044, or Keith Drew at yellowjman@yahoo.co.uk We will work out a payment method when you call.

Many thanks,

Chris
