Annoying Spam

To try and stop the ammount of annoying spam we've been getting recently , I've changed the permissions on the forum, so that only members can post messages. As far as I'm aware, now that the Myers' have joined properly, this shouldn't change how anyone uses the forum, but if you find you are unable to post, please let me know.

Hope you had a good weekend away whilst we were being attacked from possibly all angles

You have probably got this covered and you know what I'm like with modern technology n all but some of those **ckers have actually signed on as members, heleny for instance.
Don't know whether you knew that or if it matters. I just feel vulnerable I need my blankie.

it's really difficult to get the right balance between a closed forum, which is spam free but doesn't encourage new folks to join in, and an open forum, which is very inclusive but as we've been seing is open to abuse . I've now put a few controls in place that mean anyone can look, but only members can post (and they have to have been a member for a week before they can post a link). Hopefully peps should still find it easy enough to become members, but they'll have to be a "real person" as I've also banned automated entries.

We'll see how it goes!

spam, pototoes, carrots.... certain things in cans makes my blood boil
