'Christmas' do - save the date!
OMG!
I KNOW it's too early!
But....I have booked our do for Jan 28th at Lee Tennis Club again as requested at pub meeting last week so please hold the date in your diaries!
I am awaiting confirmation of booking and price/head but I hope to get same/simillar deal as last yr.
Do you want the same menu as last yr or something a bit different - any comments or suggestions welcome - within reason! :O))
...it's coming and this goose is gonna get fat..ter!
Bring it on!

If we are protecting soft fruits can I put forward a plug for raspberries - I know they're not a particularly Christmas based fruit, but I'm sure some genius at Kew gardens could come up with a variety that fruits all year!!!

Sounds good to us Helly...(and it doesn't clash with the Stubbington 10k road race for us this year either)!
As for the "Save a Soft Fruit" campaign, I don't think you can beat a pair of nice, firm, round juicy plums....

Re. the menu suggestions, I thought it was great last year and would be happy to see the same again. However, it is also just a few days after Burns' night so maybe something haggisy would be a popular option? I'll probably do the same as this year and have a supper at mine before going to the Monday pub so maybe a main course might be haggis overload but it could be incorporated as a starter.
I was going to try haggis in filo parcels for dinner tonight; unfortunately my plans were thwarted by a dearth of haggises (haggii?) in Waitrose
