Hi from Sicily

Hi all
Awesome time in Sicily Etna yesterday serious tough climb 23 miles between 7&15% took road to end , upto the ski station but that wasn't running, very cold on way down. we managed to stop in a bar 1/2 mile down from the top & had coffee and hot choc. We also got newspaper to put down our jersies - amazing how well this works

Went to Scopello today - 64 mile round trip following the coast - rolling hills some more challenging than others. Need to check on exact percentage but reckon it was 20% at one point! Not bad with a 39/23!

Got back to the hotel and dipped our legs in the pool. The food here is excellent and after the waiter saw us cycling this am he made us have 2 lots of dessert each!!

Hmm, sounds good - might have to see if I can hire a bike when I'm there in Jan (mind you, I guess the descent would be even colder then!).
