IoW Randonnee
Hi folks,
Anyone doing the Isle of Wight Randonnee next week (2/5)? If so, are people meeting to catch the ferry? I'm keen to get a few miles in before the HHH the week after next.
Cheers
Will

I know the weather doesn't look that good for Sunday - but I'm still up for IoW. No-one's mentioned times yet - so unless I hear otherwise, I was reckoning on the 9am Portsmouth - Ryde ferry.

Re IoW Randonnee
I think it's normally the 8.00 ferry - the event starts at 9.00 and it's a 40 minute ferry plus the ride to the start.
Was looking forward to it but looking at the forecast I suspect I'll be productive and do some more decorating, shame after the recent spell of decent weather.

Hmm 8am ferry - well OK I'll go for that one then (darn - earlier start - will probably be wet too, knowing my luck).

Just in Case the weather is friendly, when shall we meet at the ferry port?

I'm still up for the I of W - just bought some mud guards so I'm all set. Getting the 8.00 ferry so we should start meeting at 7.30 / 7.45 - sorry Will.
I've had a look on the Wightlink web and it seems there isn't any special 2 for 1 deals appart from on the Cat, don't know whether we can do the group ticket we did last week.
As for the weather it appears to kick off at 13.00 so we can either wizz round and be on the ferry home or take shelter until it clears again - bout 16.00.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow
Angie

OK 7.30-ish is good. I've looked at the Met Office forecast - but hope they're overstating the crap weather. Even if I zoom around, I'm likely to get caught on my way back from Portsmouth according to the forecast

I believe that we will be texting round at 7am if weather as bad as they reckon it's gonna be.
Finger's crossed and keep your eyes open on the forum for last min cancellations by us fair weather riders.

Re: IoW Randonnee
yeah, I'm gonna bail too.
Will pick a short ride if there's a clear spell, otherwise will go over to IOW during next week when sunny.
Have fun you more toughened ones and hopefully I will have a rain jacket for next year!
