Tour of Britain Volunteers

Hi Guys, just had the following "Call for Volunteers" request...

Tour of Britain – Call for Volunteers
You will be aware that Stage 7 of the Tour of Britain will be racing through our district on Saturday 13th September (Camberley to Brighton). Our events management and sports development officers are heavily involved in the delivery of the event where it passes through this district and, in particular, with an emphasis on Midhurst, Petworth, Fernhurst, Tillington and Wisborough Green. As such we are seeking volunteer marshalls to help ‘manage the safety of’ and ‘communicate with’ the crowd. Marshalls with some previous experience, local knowledge and experience of bike racing might be most useful to the Tour, hence our approach to you.
Volunteers should be prepared to give up a minimum of three hours for which there is likely to be some ‘ToB’ related recompense. Volunteers will also receive a briefing pack.
If any of your club members are interested then I’d be grateful if they would email Amy Chamberlain achamberlain@chichester.gov.uk as she is the CDC volunteer coordinator for the event.
