A couple of Garmin fixes
Hi
Anyone else been having problems with erratic hrm & speed / cadence units?
Before giving up and confining to that lost drawer, remove the old battery, flip it over and re insert, yes really, this shorts the contacts and discharges the remaining power in the unit, remove the battery & discard safely, leave the unit alone for a few minutes and insert a new battery, making sure its round the correct way, refit the back plate securely, once paired with the Garmin head unit they should work as normal, this works the same with the HRM and GSC I know cos I just did it, Sarah's GSC hasn't worked for a couple of years, now it does.
Enjoy Tony
