Majorca = next month
Hi Team Majorca
As its only 4 weeks away - oh yes, bring it on.
I thought I would suggest a few bike checks and tweeks:
1. Tyres advisable to fit new, as it can be quite hilly = fast descents, I like Conti GP4k's or Attack Force.
2. Brakes, check those brake blocks, if in doubt then replace.
3. Get your chain checked and replace if worn or shimano.
4. If your unsure how or don't have the right tools then get your bike seviced, gears and brakes are important.
5. Fit 2 bottle cages, it will be "el scorchio"!!!!!!
6. Make sure you have some spares to carry on the bike, I take 2 x tubes, tyre levers, spare chain connector, multitool and a frame fit pump. I carry a small chain tool, but not necessary for all of us.
You will all need to take some chain lube and use it daily.
I'll take a few spares extra to this like Chains, cables, brake blocks and tubes, Luke and I also take enough tools for bike assembly and a track pump.
Does everyone have a bike box or bag?
Contact me regarding any of the above.
Tony

Hi Tony,
Nice, Can I have a set of CAMPAG break blocks as we will need them on the descents, not like the Shimano lot who will break their chains on the way up!!! lol

Re: Majorca = next month
seeing as Tony and I have a penchant for the best groupsets we have an abundance of camapgnolo tools. However for you shimanooooo riders I have a casette lockring tool and that's about it! If there's any shimano-specific tools someone else might need to bring them.. I guess crankset stuff it it's proprietry otherwise i think everything else is pretty universal (allen keys, screwdrivers etc..)

A select few have opted to follow the pros and chosen Sram as their preferred groupset. Do I need special tools?

P.S. Can't wait
