Well, it sounds a bit of a rip off but I've registered for next year's massive London ride:

(The rip off bit is that it's £48 but it's closed roads so fair enough but they anticipate vast over demand so you can donate that to the charity for a extra shot at another 1000 spaces plus you get a jersey...)
