Tour of the Milburys 11 May - still very short of helpers
Please see the posts below, there were a few that Tony had put in but are only possibles so can't be banked on; as you can see below there are still lots of gaps. These need to be filled to run the event. There are a number of people who haven't replied one way or the other; if you know you can't help it would be useful if you can say that as well.
Cheers.

We have a small cycle club just started at work. I've asked if anyone would like to help out. Never know

Hi Andy, not sure if I have the correct number for you, but I sent you a message last night. I spoke to Dave Edwards and he has offered to do the race service again and said he will bring someone to assist him.
I may have found a possibility for some marshals as well after another conversation last night.

Thanks guys; Will, Ive added you to the list.
Chris, I didn't get any message but thanks for that; I've also e-mailed Harry Lodge who also did race service last year.
Might just get there!

Re: Tour of the Milburys 11 May - still very short of helpers
Well, I had hoped to talk about this tonight at the pub but nobody else was there - bit of a pointless ride out!
I don't know if there was anyone else from other teams in Majorca able to assist?
Also, I know Chris put in an entry but I can't really accept that when we still have such a gap so I've added to the list of marshals.
I noticed Des was only down as finish timekeeper; I think this was mentioned after last year, having a dedicated assistant at the finish but again there aren't enough people for that so it will need to be the usual of returning to the finish after the last lap.
Also Dave is still a possible depending on something to do with the FA Cup; has this changed to a yes or no yet?

Andy
Have I been declined entry through the BC website then? Or has the start list yet to be finalised. I have to say I am hugely disappointed by this as, I have prepared this as my main target for the season and it was hardly pleasant last year, turning up not knowing I would ride.
There isn't much point hosting a road race if no club members can ride!!

Chris.
I fully understand your disappointment at having to miss this ride, having prepared for it. However, you must understand that when your own club organises a race it is first and foremost for the benefit of "Other riders" and to do our bit for the sport. When you enter another clubs race then that is being run by "Them" for your benefit. It would be lovely to have enough people spare to allow you to compete (as we all take pride from seeing the jersey being worn in competitive events) but in this case we haven`t. Don`t mean to sound preachy mate but T/A have always run their events well and I for one take pride in that. I`ll ask my lads if they might be available to help.

Re: Tour of the Milburys 11 May - still very short of helpers
I haven't declined your entry Chris but can only have it as a reserve until we have sufficient helpers; obviously the priority is to make sure the event can take place. If we get enough then you can be the next reserve.
Cheers Dave, I've added you to the list.

Andy, what time would helpers need to be here for the race? Trying to get someone from work but they may not be able to make it for the morning TT.

Joe,
Afternoon race starts at 1pm but would ideally need to be there around midday to arrange positions, briefing, etc.
